Perfectly Equipped – Matthew 14:18

And He said, “Bring them here to Me.”

Be it grand or humble, whatever you have is enough to accomplish all that the Lord has called you to do.  Survey your life, inventory your assets, gifts, and talents, and determine that, by the Lord’s grace, you will put them to work to bring Him glory and to serve Him on earth.  Dedicate them for His holy purposes, and watch Him multiple them and use them in remarkable and unfathomable ways.  While recognizing that you have no adequacy in yourself, trust in your wonderful friend, Jesus Christ, who having laid down His life on your behalf will help you exercise the gifts His Father has givenyou to achieve the holy purposes for which He has called you.[1]

Do not be like the faithless steward who buried that which his master entrusted to him because he refused to believe that the Lord would bless his efforts on his master’s behalf.[2]  This man’s lack of faith cost him the little he had.  Rather, live in the miraculous where Jesus resides, and the Lord will show you that His power is unlimited and His Word is true.[3]  With arms raised to heaven, lift your resources to Jesus, asking Him to enable you to bear fruit in His name.  Though at times your offering may seem pitifully meager, He will bless that which you bring to Him in obedience as He turns the inadequate into an overabundance,[4] providing for you in surprising, even spectacular ways.[5]  In awe, you will watch as He supplies inexhaustible resources to enable you to minister in His name, for your well will never run dry and your provisions will never run out.[6]

Treasure the perfect gifts God has given you, and use them in faith and with liberality.  Offer them back to Him, understanding that when you do, He will return them in fuller measure, making them increasingly valuable for His kingdom.  Prove yourself a faithful steward of that which He has placed in your hands, and He will be well pleased when you bring your multiplied returns before Him, having proven yourself worthy of His trust.[7]

Do not find yourself in the unenviable position of standing before the Throne of Grace attempting to make excuses to our mighty God for why your accounts show so little increase on the gifts He has given you.  Take all you have to Jesus, listen and obey His instructions, and watch Him make much out of little.[8]
