Biblical Review
Dr. Barry Keiser, a Biblical scholar, who has taught the Bible all over the world, edited Highway of Holiness for correct Bible citations and application of Biblical principles.
Barry lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Jean, who he met at Penn State, where he received a BS in Electrical Engineering. They have been married over 62 years and have 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Beginning his career in engineering, Barry worked as a design engineer and project manager with major corporations. He was also a project officer in the U.S. Air Force and has held numerous other responsibilities in electronics and space engineering.
His ministry experience began while in the service when he helped to start a new church, directing the visitation program. His seminary training followed at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he completed his Th.M. in New Testament (Greek). Later, he completed a doctorate in counseling at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary.
Following seminary, Barry served as Minister to Collegians in a large church in San Jose, CA, which included campus evangelism, discipleship and counseling. He led outreach tours to Europe, Mexico, Nevada, and to help small churches in California. While in San Jose, the Lord led more than thirty of the collegians under his ministry into full-time Christian service at home and abroad.
Leaving San Jose, Barry served for fourteen years as professor and Dean of Students at Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon. His major responsibilities were in teaching, counseling and administration. It was during the latter Multnomah years that God brought the desperate needs of the world in clearer focus, leading to direct involvement in missions.
Joining SEND International as their Northeast Regional Director for a number of years, in June of 1992 he and Jean moved to Prague in what was then Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic. Barry taught Hebrew and Greek exegesis at a new theological seminary in Prague. He was then appointed by SEND as their North Central Europe Area Director, which included the countries of Poland and Slovakia, as well as the Czech Republic.
Barry also served as country coordinator for the Alliance for Saturation Church Planting (a member of the Czech Evangelical Alliance), a coalition of mission agencies whose purpose was to assist the evangelical churches in the areas of Central Europe, Ukraine, and Russia in their church planting efforts. He helped develop both training programs and materials for this effort.
Following their return to the United States, Barry served several years as Church Missions Consultant for SEND International before retiring. He is still involved with his local church, Christ Community Church of West Chester, PA.
